
Sweet Peppered Bacon (Million Dollar)
Ingredients
- ½ c packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper powder
- 8 slices thick-sliced bacon
Instructions
- Heat oven to 400°F. Line cookie sheet with foil.
- In a mixing bowl, add brown sugar and peppers; stir together with a fork.
- Separate bacon slices. Working with one slice at a time, dredge the bacon in the brown sugar mixture and press the sugar against the bacon to ensure it’s fully coated.
- Arrange bacon in a single layer on the rack. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp but not burnt.
- Using tongs, transfer the bacon to a piece of parchment to cool completely, about 15 minutes.
