Roasted Sweet and Sour Brussels Sprouts

  • Air Fryer


  • 1 lb brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp loosely packed fresh parsley finely chopped


  • Toss together sprouts, oil and 3 tablespoons of water. 
  • Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees. Line air fryer basket with a piece of foil cut to fit. Add brussels sprouts to basket and air fry for 15-20 minutes, tossing a few times, until tender and browned.
  • Meanwhile, in a 2 cup glass measuring cup, combine the soy sauce, vinegar and brown sugar, ginger and pepper. Microwave on high for 2- 2 ½ minutes, or until syrupy. 
  • Toss sprouts with parsley and enough sauce to coat. Serve remaining sauce on the side. 


Do not forget to add the water to the sprouts or they will turn out dry.
