Hand-Cut Baked French Fries
Ingredients
- 4 large russet potatoes cleaned and dried
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp seasoned salt
- 1 tbsp dried parsley flakes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
- Cut the potatoes into pinkie-sized planks, or whatever size and shape you prefer.
- Put the potatoes in a large bowl and pour over the Canola oil. Add the pepper to taste. Add the seasoned salt and toss together well.
- Spread the potatoes in a single layer onto 2 baking sheets. Bake, tossing them halfway through the cooking time, until crispy, about 30 minutes. Remove to a platter, season with additional salt and parsley.
- Serve hot!
Air Fryer
- Preheat Air Fryer to 400℉. Place fries in a single layer in basket, you will have to do these in batches. Air Fry, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time, about 15-20 minutes. Once fries are crispy and golden, remove to a platter and season with salt and parsley.
