Garlic Butter Quick Bread
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
- 1/2 tsp granulated garlic
- 2 tsp dried parsley
- 2 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 3/4 cup buttermilk
Instructions
- Grease an 8x8 inch cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper. Grease the parchment paper.
- Put the butter in a bowl and melt in the microwave. Mix in the garlic and 1 teaspoon of dried parsley.
- Pour the butter into the baking dish.
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and the remaining teaspoon of dried parsley in a mixing bowl.
- Stir in the buttermilk to get a thick batter.
- Pour the batter into the baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Use a knife and score the bread so it makes 9 pieces.
- Bake the bread in a preheated oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20-25 minutes. The bread will have risen and be golden when it's ready.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes in the dish then turn it out onto a wire rack to finish cooling. Serve warm or room temperature.
