Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Trim the pork tenderloin well, remove the “silver skin” and any trim-able fat.
Salt and pepper all sides of the tenderloin.
Pour 2 tsp. of oil in oven safe pan over medium-high heat and let it come just to the smoking point.
Brown all sides of the tenderloin for approximately 2 1/2 - 3 minutes per side.
While browning, crush 2 cloves garlic and add to 1 tablespoon olive oil in a small bowl.
When browning is done, remove from heat and coat with the olive oil/garlic mixture.
Roast the pork in the oven for about 15-20 minutes until a thermometer reads an internal temp of 140-150 degrees. About 15-20 minutes.
Tent lightly with foil and rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing on the bias (diagonally) and serving.
