2tspKnorr Caldo de Tomate con Sabor de Pollo (Tomato Bouillon with Chicken Flavor)
1/4tspground cumin
1/4tspdried oregano
freshly ground pepper
Instructions
Combine the tomatoes, onion, garlic and chicken broth in a blender. Blend until smooth.
Strain the tomato mixture through a sieve into a bowl. Set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet (with a lid) over medium heat.
Break the pasta into 3” pieces, using the width of your palm as a guide.
Toast the pasta in the oil until golden brown and releases a nutty aroma.
Add the strained tomato mixture, Knorr seasoning, cumin, and oregano. Stir to combine
Reduce heat to low and cover with lid. Let simmer until pasta is cooked through and sauce is reduced by ⅓-½ . Season lightly with freshly ground pepper. TASTE, add a little salt** if necessary.
Notes
**Knorr seasoning is very salty. Be sure to taste the fideo before adding any salt to this dish.
